On 13 May, EIHP presented the results of a feasibility study for the installation of a PV system on two facilities owned by the Starigrad Municipality: the Osmjeh Kindergarten and the Municipal building. These studies were conducted within the EUKI Solar Adria project, in which the Municipality of Starigrad is a pilot area of \u200b\u200bproject implementation in Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The results of the feasibility study for potential solar power plants were presented by Sre\u0107ko Tamburovi\u0107<\/strong>, a senior researcher from EIHP, and the presentation was attended by the Mayor of Starigrad Krste Rami\u0107<\/strong> and Marin \u010cavi\u0107<\/strong>, Head of the Single Administrative Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The technical and economic feasibility analysis for the kindergarten building indicates the optimal installation of a 6 kW power plant that would produce about 7039 kWh of electricity per year, which would be enough to meet about 49% of its own electricity needs. With the self-consumption model, the current price of technology, and the price of electricity from 2021, the payback period is about nine years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In the case of the Municipality building, the installation of a 5.2 kW power plant with a total annual production of 6278 kWh is proposed as optimal, which is 52% of the total needs. The payback period under the conditions mentioned above is also nine years. Given rising energy prices, the assumed payback period will certainly be reduced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After presenting the results and discussing with the Municipality representatives, the kindergarten building was chosen as a more favorable option for implementation.
