Its purpose is to provide practical information on new energy labels for household appliances to consumers, distributors, and manufacturers and support all stakeholders in the transition to new labels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new energy labels were introduced in March 2021 and represent the return of the European Union to the original concept of ranking products with regard to their energy efficiency according to classes A to G.  Labeling with + sign was no longer transparent. It made it difficult for consumers to distinguish products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The task of the LABEL 2020 project is to provide support to citizens and distributors by creating information materials during the transition from the old to the new energy efficiency labels (hr.label2020.eu), but the project has been extended to the initiative <strong>Save Energy!<\/strong> with the support of the FZOEU and the Ministry of the Economy and Sustainable Development of the Republic of Croatia. In the meantime, the Office for Economy, Energy, and Environmental Protection of the City of Zagreb and other stakeholders joined in as partners, recognizing the need to pass on information to citizens to help them choose and use household appliances with the least energy and money.
