On July 28, the Government of the Republic of Croatia adopted the Guidelines for saving energy in the Republic of Croatia for the period from August 1, 2021, to March 31, 2023, which were prepared by experts from the Energy Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the Energy Institute Hrvoje Po\u017ear. The guidelines suggest, among other things, room heating to a maximum of 21 degrees, cooling to 25 degrees, greater use of LED lighting and public transportation, and cheaper electricity tariffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Davor Filipovi\u0107<\/strong> said that the guidelines are based on a package of documents from the European Commission from July 20, 2022, on gas savings. On July 20, 2022, the European Commission presented the 'Save gas for a safe winter' plan, which foresees a 15% reduction in gas consumption from August 1 of this year to March 31, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The European plan to reduce gas consumption envisages that on a voluntary basis, all consumers, households, public administration, owners of public buildings, energy producers, and industry take measures to reduce consumption to ensure supply in conditions where the Russian Federation will not guarantee a sufficient supply of gas for the European market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n
