\"Energy 2023 - security of energy supply and prices\", now the traditional Jutarnji List conference, was held on Wednesday, January 25, at the Esplanade Hotel. EIHP CEO Dra\u017een Jak\u0161i\u0107<\/strong>, and other leading experts from the Croatian energy business and state administration participated in the conference again this year. Through presentations and discussions, they sought answers to the new challenges that await us this year and next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding energy efficiency, Jak\u0161i\u0107 emphasized that the basic principle of the EU is - energy efficiency first. \"We worked on a scenario of climate neutrality until 2050, and we estimated total investments at around 130 billion euros in the Republic of Croatia. The most significant part is an investment in buildings and energy efficiency. A genuine transition must occur in every household and company, renovating buildings, apartments, and photovoltaic cells on the roof. This is the decentralization of the energy system; in a few years, we will have hundreds of thousands of small electricity producers. We made a step forward and withdrew funds from funds and national funds; however, the interest in all tenders was more significant than the available funds. According to the building renovation strategy, we need to renovate 3.5 percent per year, which requires much larger funds and many small projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding climate neutrality, he noted that significant investments are needed, and there is also great interest from investors. \"Despite everything, we can say - we are moving forward. We have 2 TWh from wind, the share is growing, and 37 percent of immediate consumption is from renewable sources, but we have failed in roof panels on households. We are practically at the bottom, and there is unused potential. Households should be supported, and the citizens need to be educated,\" said Jak\u0161i\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
