Researchers from the Energy Institute Hrvoje Po\u017ear (EIHP) recently visited the site of the hydrogen refuelling station in Ljubljana, a project developed by Energetika Ljubljana. The station has successfully passed its testing phase, and its opening is expected in December this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is one of the most ambitious urban hydrogen projects in Central Europe, marking a significant step toward decarbonizing public transportation through the launch of an integrated system for hydrogen production, distribution, and refuelling. It is a joint initiative of Energetika Ljubljana, the City of Ljubljana, and Ljubljana Passenger Transport (LPP), where this type of partnership has proven essential for the successful implementation of such an innovative project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit to Ljubljana was organized as part of the GREET CE project, whose main objective is to strengthen the innovation capacities of small and medium-sized enterprises in less developed regions of Central Europe. An important aspect of the project is interregional cooperation in the field of renewable gases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, the aim is to reinforce partnerships, strengthen local and regional supply chains, transfer best practices and examples, and support the replicability of solutions in different regional contexts. The project consortium consists of eight partners from seven less developed regions of Central European countries, and in Croatia it is implemented by EIHP. The project is funded by the Interregional Innovation Investment (I3) instrument, with a total budget of EUR 1,398,006.98.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
