Ahead of us are Greece, Montenegro and T\u00fcrkiye, followed by Italy and Spain. Southern European countries are the most exposed to extreme heat. However, unlike those countries, Croatia has a smaller share of industrial electricity consumption, so households account for a larger share of demand. During heatwaves, our peak electricity demand increases by around 18%,\" said Jak\u0161i\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite increased demand, Croatia has a sufficient electricity supply, and the power system remains stable. \"We are in a very good position. Our power system is secure and stable. The only potential disruption could occur if, after this heatwave, severe storms and strong winds are forecast to hit later this week, causing damage to electricity infrastructure. That is impossible to predict.
