Bjelovar and Kri\u017eevci hosted a study visit to the geothermal sites of Korenovo, Bjelovar and Kri\u017eevci on 9 September as part of the European Greet GEO project. The programme was organised by Terme Bjelovar in cooperation with the Energy Institute Hrvoje Po\u017ear and brought together around 50 participants interested in the development and application of geothermal energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event began in Bjelovar with a presentation of the project and a film about the Wellovar Geothermal Sports and Recreation Park, the largest project in the history of the City of Bjelovar, which is nearing its opening. On this occasion, participants were addressed by Director of Terme Bjelovar Zvonimir \u017darec<\/strong>, Sanja \u017divkovi\u0107<\/strong> from the Energy Institute Hrvoje Po\u017ear, and Nikolina Stipi\u0107<\/strong> and Matko Vencl<\/strong> from Terme Bjelovar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Following presentations introducing participants to the geothermal potential of the Bjelovar area and the possibilities for harnessing this energy source, the programme continued with a visit to the Korenovo geothermal site. The site is home to the Korenovo GT-1 well, which is approximately 1,290 metres deep and where geothermal water with a reservoir temperature of around 83\u00b0C has been discovered. The tour continued at the construction site of the Wellovar Geothermal Sports and Recreation Park, where participants learned about the project's development and the opportunities to utilise geothermal energy within the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After Bjelovar, the study visit continued in Kri\u017eevci, where participants visited the Kri\u017eev\u010danka-1 geothermal well site. The programme concluded with a presentation on the City of Kri\u017eevci\u2019s geothermal project, held at the Kri\u017eevci Entrepreneurship Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
