Presentation of the Distribution Network Development Study for Elektra Čakovec

HEP ODS presented on Tuesday, 26 May, the Distribution Network Development Study for Elektra Čakovec for the period 2025–2044 to representatives of Međimurje County, the City of Čakovec, and other local government units.

The project was realized through the synergy of expert teams from the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar, led by Tomislav Baričević, who provided professional and scientific support, the HEP ODS team led by Anđelko Tunjić and Mladen Vuksanić , and colleagues from Elektra Čakovec, Dinko Kacijan and Damir Srpak, whose operational knowledge and field experience made a crucial contribution to the study's implementation.

The study defines the direction for the development of Elektra Čakovec’s distribution network over the next two decades, taking into account the need to modernize existing capacities, the expected increase in electricity consumption, and the challenges of the green transition (development of heating electrification and electromobility, as well as the integration of renewable energy sources).

The Elektra Čakovec study will serve as a model for preparing distribution network development studies for other HEP ODS distribution areas, especially neighbouring distribution areas such as Elektra Zabok, Elektra Varaždin, Elektra Koprivnica, Elektra Bjelovar, and Elektra Virovitica.
