Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar at the Belgrade Energy Forum

The third Belgrade Energy Forum, BEF 2025, took place on 14-15 May in the capital of Serbia and gathered 400 participants from more than 30 countries in the region and beyond. At the two-day conference organized by Balkan Green Energy News eight panel discussions were held in which more than 50 government officials, managers and prominent energy experts participated.

The Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar acted as a "Friend of the Conference" at the conference, and the Director of the Institute Dražen Jakšić acted as moderator of the panel entitled "Strategies for the decarbonization of the electricity sector in Southeast Europe 2040/2050".

A dynamic discussion brought together the region's key energy players to share insights on accelerating the transition to cleaner and more resilient energy systems. The panel was attended by Dejan Paravan, general manager of GEN Energija; Dušan Živković, general Director of EPS; Eric Scotto, CEO of AKUO; Neda Lazendić, Country Manager of WV-International and Ljubiša Đurković, Technical Director of EPCG.
