On October 10, 2024, the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes held a national information day of the Horizon Europe program for the area of Cluster 5 - Climate, energy and mobility. The purpose of the information day was to inform potential applicants from the broader scientific community about the open calls of the Horizon Europe program in the area of Cluster 5 - Climate, energy and mobility. In addition to important information about the calls in question, the participants at the information day also received information about the existing grants from the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth intended for applicants of project proposals for the calls of the Horizon Europe program.
After the opening speeches and the presentation of the open invitations, successful projects within Cluster 5 were presented to the participants. Mihaela Grubišić Šeba from the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar presented the project Sustainable renewable energy Value chains for answering FARMers’ needs – VALUE4FARM. The project received funding under Cluster 5 of the Horizon Europe program, in which the Hrvoje Požar Energy Institute is a consortium member.
In her presentation, Šeba, in addition to innovative approaches to renewable and sustainable energy sources, also presented challenges that the Institute faced when finding consortium partners, preparing the application, and the operational dynamics of project implementation.
