CEO of EIHP Dražen Jakšić, his deputy and head of the Department for Transmission and Distribution Goran Majstrović and head of the Department for RES and Environmental Protection Matija Vajdić, participated on April 28 and 29, 2026, in Dubrovnik at the Summit and Business Forum of the Three Seas Initiative, held as part of the Croatian presidency of that initiative. The event brought together almost 1,500 participants from 45 countries and four continents.
During the Business Forum, panel discussions were held on financing infrastructure projects, energy security, transport and logistics connectivity, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, data centres, and new global trade corridors. Special attention was paid to projects of digital transition and high technologies, including cooperation with Croatian companies such as Končar, as well as investments in data centers and the development of artificial intelligence.
CEO of EIHP moderated the panel entitled "Building a resilient and smart energy system", which brought to the fore one of the key issues for the Three Seas Initiative region: how to build an electric power system capable of supporting a faster and safer energy transition.
Prominent experts and representatives of relevant institutions and industry participated in the panel: Frederik Doyé (Siemens Energy), Davor Ivo Stier (European Parliament, ITRE Committee), Željko Šmitran (IE-ENERGY), Olga Bogdanova (World Energy Council Latvia) and Dejan Turk (A1 Slovenia).
The discussion focused on modernizing the power grid, strengthening cross-border interconnections, and developing flexible solutions, such as battery storage systems. It was emphasised that precisely these elements are key to integrating an increasing share of renewable energy sources while preserving the security of supply.
