At the session held on February 14, 2024, the Management Council of the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar (EIHP), following a public tender and at the proposal of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, appointed Dražen Jakšić as a director of EIHP for a period of four years, starting on February 19, 2024.
This is the second mandate of the current director, who thanked for the trust shown and stated:
"In the past four years, the Institute has been strengthened in all aspects of its operations, professionally and staff strengthened, and organizationally adapted to the dynamic environment in the energy sector. Completion of the project "Establishment of the National Training Center for Nearly Zero-Emission Buildings (nZEB)" in 2024 and the reconstruction of the office building will strengthen the Institute's infrastructural basis, with a reduction in energy costs, more pleasant working conditions for employees and an increase in spatial capacity. With everything achieved in the last four years, the prerequisites for long-term business sustainability and further strengthening of the Institute as a headquarters scientific and professional institution in the field of energy have been ensured. In the coming period, we will continue to invest in developing our employees and develop cooperation with leading institutions, industrial partners and government bodies to promote and implement the best practices in energy and respond to all the challenges of the green energy transition. We continue with our mission, vision and commitment to developing the energy sector in Croatia and beyond. In cooperation with the Management Council and with the support of employees and the Ministry, I am convinced that we will achieve even greater success in the next four years. Our common commitment remains the same: to work on a sustainable energy future", said the director of EIHP.
