Deep renovation leads to lower costs and better quality of life

In March 2023, the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets published a Public Call for energy renovation of multi-apartment buildings damaged in earthquakes; a call should also be announced these days, giving other citizens the same opportunity. It is EUR 200 million, which covers the renovation of around 300 buildings (EUR 80 million) and 10,000 houses (EUR 120 million). The percentage of the subsidy will depend on the degree of renovation, and it can be up to 80 percent of the costs if it is a deep renovation.

Since many citizens still think it is enough to change the facade and put in new windows for energy renovation, and they need to think about improving the heating, using renewable energy sources, etc., in-depth energy renovation is primarily absent.
