ANNOUNCEMENT: Workshop “Energy Efficiency in Companies in Practice – Expert and User Perspectives”

The Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar (EIHP) and the Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP), with the support of DNV Adriatica and Idea2project, are organizing a workshop dedicated to experiences, best practices, and energy efficiency projects in companies. The workshop will take place on April 24, both in person and online, as part of the 3rd meeting of the National Observatory for Energy Audits and Energy Management in Companies within the project LEAPto11, co-financed by the EU LIFE programme and implemented in Croatia by the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar. The workshop aims to bring together experts, companies, and auditors in an environment where real-life examples clearly demonstrate what works in practice and how such approaches can be applied within their own organizations.

The workshop will provide an overview of successful practices, approaches, and examples of energy efficiency from Croatian companies, with a focus on projects that have achieved measurable savings, improved operational processes, or created opportunities for further investments.

Participants will have the opportunity to hear an overview of current obligations and trends in corporate energy efficiency reporting, as well as insights into technological and organizational solutions that have proven most effective in industrial and service sectors. In addition, the workshop will offer an analysis of methods and approaches that deliver the best results in practice. A dedicated segment will focus on new financing opportunities, including available credit lines for energy efficiency investments, with clarification of the conditions, criteria, and applicability across different project types.

In addition to expert presentations, the workshop will feature contributions from company representatives who will share first-hand experiences from their projects—what worked, the challenges they encountered, how decisions were made, and the real impacts on costs, organization, and business performance. Through open discussion, participants will be able to exchange experiences, ask specific questions, and receive practical advice for preparing and implementing future projects.
