Workshop “Energy efficiency obligations in companies – standardisation and data collection or an opportunity for savings?

On Friday, 5 December 2025, the workshop “Energy efficiency obligations in companies – standardisation and data collection or an opportunity for savings?” was held, organised by EIHP, the Croatian Employers’ Association and the Ministry of Economy, with the aim of informing and preparing stakeholders for the new energy efficiency obligations in companies. The workshop took place as part of the project LEAPto11, co-funded by the EU LIFE programme and implemented in Croatia by EIHP.

Participants had the opportunity to hear about:

  • key elements of the new Energy Efficiency Act;
  • the Draft of the new Regulation on the Energy Management System and Energy Audits in Companies;
  • an overview of the energy savings market – ENSMOV Plus; ENSMOV Plus;
  • conclusions from the CA EED3 plenary meeting, with a focus on energy audits and financial instruments.

The workshop created an important space for exchanging experiences, critically reflecting on the existing system, and articulating concrete recommendations based on practical experience. The need for feedback from the field—from auditors, companies and experts—was emphasised to ensure that the system develops in the future in a way that is efficient, feasible and genuinely contributes to energy policy objectives.
