We can see a significant increase in production from wind power plants. Still, we need to catch up in the development of solar power plants, and in this area, we are at the back of Europe. However, due to the energy crisis, there is interest in building photovoltaic capacities, and there will undoubtedly be progress compared to the current situation. This was pointed out by Dražen Jakšić, ravnatelj Energetskog instituta Hrvoje Požar (EIHP), na Liderovoj knferenciji “Energetska budućnost Hrvatske”, koja se održala 16. lipnja u Zagrebu.
EIHP's CEO participated in a panel discussion dedicated to opportunities for a sustainable energy system, which was also discussed Ivo Čović from Končar - Renewable Sources, Iva Rogović Lekić from Marsh, Maja Rajčić from the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency and Vedran Belamarić from the company E.ON.

On the panel, they talked about the Croatian energy mix, slow administrative procedures that need to be solved as soon as possible to create a healthy investment environment, and they also discussed the network's capacity.
