SRI2MARKET project: Digitized, smart and economical buildings

When the energy supply faces severe constraints and its shortage threatens, European eyes turn to the buildings where we live and work. How much energy do buildings consume? How can we make them more effective? While the technical answers are improving, the financial challenge remains: who (and how) will finance building digitization? Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar, partner of the project'Let's Sunlight and Renew Croatia - Together'deals with these questions. Namely, experts and researchers from the Department for Energy Efficiency, Marko Bišćan and Ružica Jurjević, gave answers to many questions through the current project SRI2MARKET, which they have been working on recently.

The European project SRI2MARKET started its implementation in November 2022, and it supports certain countries in overcoming barriers and proposes special public financing schemes for smart technologies in buildings. In Croatia, the project is implemented by EIHP as one of the 12 project partners who will work on it for the next three years. The project's goal is to support the six EU member states in planning the introduction of the mentioned indicator into national regulations and placing it on the market.
