PAP/RAC & CREATE project team are organizing the second webinar from the "Thursday CREATivE Talks" series, which is organized as part of the CREATE - Climate RESponses for the AdriaTic rEgionproject, on the topic - "The importance of planning the adaptation of coastal areas in the context of the consequences of the climate crisis", 1. December 2022 (Thursday) via the ZOOM platform, starting at 10 a.m.
Across coastal areas, the effects of the climate crisis have already become a reality. Whether it is flooded from the sea or torrential waters, forest fires, droughts or heat waves, the inhabitants of coastal areas and the blue economy are already under the attack of the climate crisis today.
What still awaits us and how regions and cities are preparing for adaptation will be presented by Daria Povh Škugor and Ivan Sekovski from the UNEP MAP Center for Priority Activities (PAP/RAC), Mili Novak from the Development Agency RERA S.D., Roberto Montanari from the Emilia Romagna region ( Italy) and Matea Dorčić, head of the Board for Maritime Affairs and Tourism of the Split-Dalmatia County.
The webinar will be held in Croatian and Italian, with simultaneous translation into Croatian, Italian, and English.
The webinar is intended for cities, municipalities, counties, development agencies, economic entities operating on the coast and sea, the academic and civil sectors, and the media.
