HRO CIGRE: Minea Skok elected president of the C6 Study Board

At the HRO CIGRE meeting held on Friday, July 5, 2024, Minea Skok , PhD, was unanimously elected as the president of the Study Committee C6 - Active Distribution Systems and Distributed Energy Sources of the Croatian branch of the International Council for Large Electric Power CIGRE for the period 2024-2028.

Study group C6, which Skok will chair, is one of 16 study committees operating within HRO CIGRE, and its mission is to enable and promote the progress of engineering and the international exchange of information and knowledge in the field of distribution systems and distributed energy sources.

Skok has 28 years of professional experience in the power industry and is a leading researcher in the Department of Energy Transmission and Distribution, president of the Scientific Council at EIHP and president of the XEnergy advisory board. She participated in numerous international and domestic projects in the field of operation and development planning of distribution systems, consumption forecasting, integration of renewable energy sources and distributed generation, balancing of the power system and electricity market models. Since 2020, Skok has been a member of the international CIGRE, a long-term member of HRO CIGRE SO C6 and SO C5, and since 2018, the president of the section 'Women in Engineering HRO CIGRE'. In 2021, HRO CIGRE, and then in 2023, HO CIRED awarded awards for successful work due to exceptional efforts in promoting science and the Skok profession.
