"Effective Implementation of NECPs in CEE" is the title of a project aimed at improving and streamlining National Energy and Climate Plans (NECPs) in Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries in order to bridge the ambition gap between European and national energy and climate security policies, reports Energetika-net.com. The project, with a total value of EUR 484,499.46, involves four EU member states: Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland and Romania. Launched in December 2023, it primarily targets public authorities, civil society organisations and the private sector.
To bring this topic closer to the domestic professional community, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of the University of Zagreb, one of the project participants, is organising a roundtable titled “Strengthening the National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) of the Republic of Croatia”, to be held on 16 January at the Antunović Congress Centre in Zagreb. The programme will also feature researcher dr. sc. Maja Božičević Vrhovčak from the Energy and Climate Planning Department at EIHP.
