"LEAP4SME - opportunities and challenges for energy efficiency in small and medium enterprises"

On Monday, July 3, the final workshop of the LEAP4SME program was held, entitled "LEAP4SME - opportunities and challenges for energy efficiency in small and medium-sized enterprises", as the final practical event of its implementation in Croatia. The workshop was held hybridly, live and online.

In addition to familiarizing a wider circle with the features of the LEAP4SME program, the workshop's goal was to achieve direct communication between companies interested in efficiency projects and relevant institutions. Along with the possibilities of financing projects, the greatest interest was focused on simplifying procedures.

Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar (EIHP) is the national coordinator of this European program within the EU's Horizon 2020. The purpose of this program is to support EU members in the field of energy audits for small and medium-sized enterprises, or more specifically, in establishing policies and an environment for efficient and optimal implementation of energy audits and the achievement of maximum resulting benefits, both for companies and for the entire energy sector.

The workshop was a continuation of the previously held workshop for institutions - policymakers and was intended primarily for representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises, with the participation of institutional representatives, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency. In addition to EIHP, the event host was the Croatian Employers' Association, which supported the project during its implementation.
