The Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, in cooperation with the Center for Regional Activities and Priority Action Programs, the Split-Dalmatia County, the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar, and all other partners of the Interreg project CREATE (Climate RESponses for the AdriaTic rEgion) invites you to the Kick-Off conference "CREATE the future we need".
The conference will be held on October 20, 2022, in the premises of MedILS (Meštrovićevo šetalište 45, Split) in a hybrid format, while it will be available online via the ZOOM platform.
Join us in a joint discussion on planning and management of coastal areas, natural solutions in the framework of green and blue infrastructure, financing options for adaptation to climate change, and adaptation measures that contribute to reducing climate change. Let's make this period significant by jointly accelerating the processes of systemic transformations of our society to strengthen resilience and sustainability. Today, this is more than necessary, especially due to the challenges of climate change such as rising air and ocean temperatures, extreme meteorological and oceanographic events, rising sea levels that already affect the intensity of local floods, increasingly pronounced droughts and other expected changes that will have a strong impact on the quality of life in the coastal part of the Adriatic.
