On March 21, a meeting of the HUB for Bioeconomy was held, jointly organized by the Hrvoje Požar Energy Institute, WWF Adria and the Croatian Chamber of Agriculture as Croatian partners in the projects BOOST4BIOEAST and CEE2ACT.
The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation between stakeholders in the bioeconomy system in developing and implementing bioeconomy plans in Croatia, following the adoption of the draft Bioeconomy Strategy, the development of which was led by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
The meeting presented the results and activities of the projects so far and addressed key topics:
- Bioeconomy Strategy: Current status and overview of activities
- BOOST4BIOEAST: Overview of activities and establishment of mirror groups
- Step zero towards the Bioeconomy Action Plan: Presentation of guidelines, which will be further developed through three workshops as part of the BOOST4BIOEAST project by the end of the year
- Discussion on the guidelines for the Action Plan in the context of the Bioeconomy Strategy through group work and discussion
- Further cooperation and activities of HUB
This meeting served as a key platform for strengthening cooperation and harmonizing strategic guidelines for the further development of the bioeconomy in Croatia.
