On World Consumer Rights Day, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK), organized a joint conference, "Empowering consumers in the energy transition," which took place on March 15 in the HGK premises. At the conference, emphasis was placed on raising consumer awareness of the importance of the energy transition and improving the protection of consumer rights in the energy market in the wake of the energy crisis.
The conference participants were first addressed by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Hrvoje Bujanović, and President of the Zagreb Chamber of Commerce and Advisor to the President of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce Josip Zaher.
Two panels followed the opening speeches: "The role of the consumer in the energy transition," in which participated the energy efficiency expert from the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar (EIHP), Vesna Bukarica,Ph.D., and "Consumer complaints of users of energy services."
