Employees of the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar have undergone training in using tools for creating projections of natural gas and electricity consumption and tools and techniques for power grid modelling.
Training on the use of the Aiolos tool was held at the premises of the Hrvoje Požar Energy Institute from March 28 to 29, 2023. Aiolos is an advanced software tool for creating natural gas and electricity consumption projections. The tool enables users to analyze data, identify trends and seasonal variations, and make reliable consumption projections.
The training was organized with experts from Vitec Energy, a Swedish company specializing in energy analyses and projections. The participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the functionalities and possibilities of this tool and learn how to analyze data, make consumption projections and interpret the results.
Also, the employees were educated on modelling information about the electric power system, according to the guidelines of the Association of European Transmission System Operators (ENTSO). For education, three interactive workshops were held on the premises of the Institute on May 19, May 26 and June 2, 2023, where the following topics were covered: Power grid data modelling using a standardized data model for the description of system components and their links, Monitoring power network model version and Management software tools Python and Postgres.
The training was held by experts from the company Adnet, which developed the Energy Management System used in the National Dispatch Center, based on the so-called CGMES (Common Grid Model Exchange Standard) standard, approved by ENTSO.
