Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar is organizing a workshop on the application of energy efficiency measures in the renovation of buildings with the status of a cultural asset, which will be held as part of the Professional Training Program for participants in construction, on November 21, 2023, in the Mozaik event center, Slavonska avenija 6/2, Zagreb, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Buildings with the status of cultural property make up a large proportion of the buildings damaged in the earthquake, and the risk of not reaching the decarbonization goals is significantly higher than for other buildings. In addition to real restrictions regarding the protection of cultural property, there is also an informal restriction that is the result of reducing expectations and adapting to "safe" renovation solutions.
The workshop aims to exchange the knowledge and experience of designers and conservators who participated in the restoration of buildings with the status of cultural property, to determine the difficulties they encountered during the design process and how to solve them in the future. During the round table, the planners will look at the specifics of the call "Energy renovation of buildings with the status of cultural property", how energy efficiency measures are applied and in which part the Ministry of Culture and Media guidelines are needed.
The workshop is part of the project "Support for the implementation of green transition measures within the framework of the Croatian NPOO in the reconstruction of buildings damaged by earthquakes", financed by the European Union through the Technical Support Instrument. The beneficiary of the technical assistance project is the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets, and implementation support is provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in cooperation with the Directorate General of the European Commission for Structural Reform Support (DG REFORM).
