Workshop on the incentive system for energy-efficient vehicles

On the premises of the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar (EIHP), an introductory workshop was held for the purposes of analyzing the system for encouraging energy-efficient vehicles. Namely, after eight years of its implementation, it is planned to carry out a detailed analysis to adapt the current method of co-financing, taking into account European practice, previous experience of implementing the program in Croatia, proposals of all interested stakeholders, as well as national goals in the transformation of the transport system.

In addition to the representatives of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund (FZOEU) and EIHP, whose experts do the techno-economic analysis of the model, the workshop was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastruc, and the Ministry of Finance - Tax Administration and Customs Administration. Interested stakeholders were represented by members of the Motor Vehicle Trade Association at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and other representatives of the auto industry and civic associations that promote e-mobility.

At the workshop, it was possible to hear numerous constructive and concrete proposals from all interested stakeholders, which will be the subject of consideration for potential changes to the program. The end of the analysis was announced soon, based on which parameters will be defined for the program's continuation, which is expected this fall. The Fund will present all information about the new model and conditions to the public through publications on its website.
